As you are aware, upswf.com, the site for free hosting of our Flash demos is no longer available. We have looked into options for hosting of our free resources. These options are either free but not secure, implying SWF files can be downloaded and rendered vulnerable to tampering of the source code, or they charge a fee for hosting of the files. After reviewing our options, it became evident to us that the approach forward would be to let you, our visitors, download our files. Also, to allow us to expand into other modules and create more content that you can then tap into, we would be charging a small fee for each download. This revenue will help us invest in resources to generate more knowledge based content. That would progressively increase the chances of your finding the content that directly helps you with your work as an Oracle Apps professional. That is the goal this site has set out to achieve. You might have noticed, our Free Demos were all hosted on a third party site http://upswf.com. upswf.com has suddenly been taken out of service. There is no information on the probable cause of outage, or when it would be "up" again. This outage has NO impact whatsoever, on our site pages. Just the Demos will be unavailable for a brief period. upswf.com had been one of the most popular sites for sharing Flash files, as it displayed the files in their original screen resolution. No other Flash file sharing site seems to match that. We are looking at options for porting our demos to a different server. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but we promise to re-host all the Demos by early next week. We have been receiving a steady stream of emails and feedback from a number of our friends who are regulars to our website. We thank you all for your interest and follow-up.

Many of you have asked among others, if we could have more clarification on the changes and new features that have been introduced in the Inventory Organization Parameters form in R12.

Some have even suggested if we could create detailed material on Inventory Org Setup, that can be downloaded?

I have always loved the idea of owning material on my laptop's local drive.

I can then use it, even without any connectivity!
While travelling maybe, or at a place with no Wi-fi.
It feels good (and really helps) to make productive use of time on a long flight or during the daily commute by train to work.

We are therefore working on a complete training capsule for Setting up Inventory Organizations in R12, that would be available for download shortly on our site.

When Fred R. Barnard propagated the concept of using images on the sides of streetcars in the December 8, 1921 issue of Printer's Ink with an ad that said - "One Look is Worth A Thousand Words", little did he imagine how far-reaching and all-embracing his prophecy would become.

As an Oracle Apps professional, when I happened to click on a tiny digital entity called a "Viewlet", sometime in the spring of 2004, my eyes were wide with wonder as they followed the motion of the cursor and the automated change of screens on my monitor. Life would never be the same again!

Indeed, in Apps parlance, a Demo is worth a hundred screenshots! Which is why we have been working to bring our pages to life with demos that capture on film, the script on the page.
